Performance Marketer (parental leave cover)
About the role
In this role, you’ll be part of our Growth team consisting of two experienced performance marketers and a dedicated content creator. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Marketing as well as Data & Insights, collaborating to turn creativity and data into measurable growth.
The team’s mission is to build strong brand awareness for Once Upon, drive user acquisition and support our continued growth through digital marketing channels. We do this through compelling creative content, data-driven optimisation and robust analytics — always with curiosity and experimentation at the core.
This is an interim position covering a parental leave, at 50% capacity, starting as soon as possible and running for approximately one year. The role is well suited for someone looking for a part-time position or working as a contractor.
What you’ll do:
Create and optimize performance marketing campaigns, primarily in Google Search and Google App campaigns, with additional work across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
Support the organisation with insights and data-driven decisions regarding marketing strategy and performance.
Consistently track, optimize and report the results of campaigns to improve ROAS, ARPU, CPI and other KPIs.
Manage budget allocation based on marketing channel and type of campaign.
Collaborate closely with the Brand and Communication teams, for example guide A/B creative tests and test new channels and trends in reaching target audiences.
Your background
Although a degree in marketing or related fields is a plus, practical experience is more important in this role. Therefore, you have at least a couple of years experience from a specialist role in performance marketing, working for an agency or consumer company. You also have a genuine interest for data driven sales, and experience from promoting an app is a big plus.
The role demands strong knowledge in analytic tools such as Facebook Business Manager, Google Ads Manager, Google Analytics and Appsflyer. An understanding of Pinterest, TikTok and App Store is also valuable to us. Additionally, you are fluent in written and spoken English.
Who you are
To really succeed in this role you have strong analytical skills and an eye for details. You also have a communicative mindset and enjoy working closely across teams and departments to achieve results. Self motivation and problem solving come easy to you since you are a person who sees possibilities where others see obstacles. If you are also an innovative thinker with an open mind to your own and others ideas, you will be a great fit to our culture.
Working at Once Upon

And we always strive to make things better, for our Once Uponers, for our planet and for each other.
Through innovation, co-creation, transparency and our collective knowledge as a team we always aim to bring value to our Once Uponers. And that collective brain grows with every new colleague that we welcome to the team, enriching us with new perspectives, experiences and views on life.
