Product Data Analyst
We’re looking for a Product Data Analyst who wants to help us better understand how users interact with our product and strengthen how we use data to guide product decisions. If you enjoy combining analysis with real product impact and collaborating closely with product and tech teams, this might be the role for you.
Our app has over 7.6 million downloads, and we want to keep growing – thoughtfully, steadily, and with the help of data.
For candidates with an interest in leadership or prior leadership experience, there may be an opportunity to take on managerial responsibilities. However, leadership experience is not a requirement to apply.
About the role
You will be part of our Data & Insights team, where you will work closely together with two Data Engineers, a User Researcher and a Marketing Data Analyst. Together, the team plays a key role in ensuring that the company has reliable data, meaningful insights and a strong foundation for data-informed decision making.
As a team, you collaborate closely with stakeholders across the organization and contribute to strengthening and evolving Once Upon’s Data & Insights strategy.
What you’ll do
Define and evolve product metrics with stakeholders using our metrics framework
Maintain metric definitions to ensure consistent measurement across teams
Build dashboards and analyses in Amplitude to track product performance and user behavior
Support experiments by defining success metrics and analyzing results
Analyze user behavior and product trends to uncover insights
Turn insights into recommendations that improve activation, engagement, retention and conversion
Partner with product, design and engineering to answer product questions with data
Document analyses and collaborate with data engineering to support analytical needs
Your background
We believe you have experience working with product analytics or data analysis and enjoy turning complex data into insights that influence product decisions.
We think you might have:
• Around 5 years of experience working with product analytics, data analysis or similar roles
• Experience working with SQL, Python and/or R
• A strong understanding of statistical concepts and methods used to analyze and interpret data
• Experience working with product analytics tools such as Amplitude or similar platforms
• Experience analyzing user behavior in digital products or apps
• Experience working with data visualization tools, such as Looker, Tableau or similar (we use a self-service BI tool called Steep)
• A strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
• Fluency in English
Experience with GCP, dbt, self-service BI and/or Braze is an advantage.

You communicate insights clearly and can explain complex topics in a simple way. You are comfortable working in a cross-functional environment and enjoy collaborating with product, engineering and data teams.
You are structured, proactive and comfortable working independently while also contributing to team discussions and decisions.
Most of all, you care about making data useful – helping teams understand what is happening and what we should do next.

Location
Our headquarters is located in Skellefteå, in the North of Sweden. We also have offices in Piteå, Örnsköldsvik, Umeå and Stockholm.
We are remote flexible, but we value the creativity and sense of community that comes from meeting colleagues in person. For this role, we are primarily looking for someone based in our Skellefteå office or Stockholm office.
