Marketing Data Analyst
We’re looking for a Marketing Data Analyst who wants to help us better understand our customers, improve our marketing efforts, and strengthen how we use data to guide decisions. If you enjoy combining analysis with real business impact and collaborating closely with marketing and growth teams, this might be the role for you.
Our app has over 7.6 million downloads, and we want to keep growing – thoughtfully, steadily, and with the help of data.
For candidates with an interest in leadership or prior leadership experience, there may be an opportunity to take on managerial responsibilities. However, leadership experience is not a requirement to apply.
About the role
This role is part of our Data & Insights team, where you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across marketing, product and growth, and work together with two Data Engineers, a User Researcher and a Product Data Analyst to ensure reliable data, meaningful insights and continued development of Once Upon’s Data & Insights strategy.
What you’ll do
Support marketing, growth and loyalty teams with analysis of campaigns, acquisition, retention and revenue impact
Analyze user behavior across the lifecycle to identify opportunities to improve engagement and customer value
Develop lifecycle insights and segmentation in Braze to support customer journeys
Evaluate marketing initiatives, experiments and channels to generate actionable insights
Build and maintain marketing and lifecycle metrics, dashboards and reporting
Analyze cohorts and lifetime value to inform marketing investment and retention strategies
Collaborate with marketing, product and data teams to translate business questions into analytical approaches
Document analyses and work with data engineering to ensure data models support analytical needs
Your background
We believe you have experience working with data in a marketing or growth context and enjoy turning data into insights that influence decisions.
We think you might have:
• Around 3 years of experience working with marketing analytics, lifecycle analytics or business analytics
• Experience working with SQL, Python and/or R
• Experience with CRM or customer engagement tools, such as Braze or similar platforms
• Experience analyzing campaign performance, customer behavior or lifecycle metrics
• Experience working with data visualization tools, such as Looker, Tableau or similar (we use a self-service BI tool called Steep)
• An understanding of statistical concepts and methods used to analyze and interpret data
• A business mindset and ability to translate analysis into clear recommendations
• Experience from apps, digital products or e-commerce is considered a plus
• Fluency in English
Experience with GCP, dbt, self-service BI and/or Braze is an advantage.

You communicate insights clearly and can explain complex topics in a simple way. You are comfortable working in a cross-functional environment and enjoy collaborating with product, marketing and data teams.
You are structured, proactive and comfortable working independently while also contributing to team discussions and decisions.
Most of all, you care about making data useful – helping teams understand what is happening and what we should do next.

Location
Our headquarters is located in Skellefteå, in the North of Sweden. We also have offices in Piteå, Örnsköldsvik, Umeå and Stockholm. We are remote flexible, but we value the creativeness and sense of community that follows from meeting face to face with colleagues. For this role, we are primarily looking for someone based in our Skellefteå office or Stockholm office.
